Highlights from the FinDock July ‘24 release

July 16, 2024

On July 28th, we will be rolling out the July FinDock release to all production orgs. This update will bring a host of enhancements and new features to improve your experience. Below are a couple of key highlights. For more detailed and technical information, please refer to the release notes.

1. FinDock expands to Canada and Poland

Our latest product release introduces six payment methods, each tailored to specific regional needs.

Reaching Canadian market just got easier with Pre-authorized Debit (PAD)

In this release, we are excited to announce the integration of Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) with GoCardless, our first payment method unique to the Canadian market. PAD, a preferred direct debit method in Canada, enhances our offerings to better support our customers' ambitions to either enter or expand within the Canadian market. Pre-authorized Debit is the ideal tool for both domestic and international organizations seeking to simplify the collection of recurring payments from Canadian customers and donors.

Unlock the Polish market with BLIK and Przelewy24

In this update, we are also thrilled to unveil the integration of BLIK and Przelewy24 with FinDock through Stripe, our first venture into the Polish payments landscape. These platforms, which are the most popular payment methods in Poland, are now seamlessly available to our customers, offering a strategic advantage to those aiming to penetrate or expand their operations in Poland. BLIK, favored by 80% of online payers, and Przelewy24 are ideal for businesses looking to facilitate smooth transactions and cater to local payment preferences.

Even more payment methods in the USA and DACH regions

Besides introducing new payment methods in new regions, we are continuing to expand our offerings in regions where we already operate. For US customers, ACH Direct Debits through GoCardless have been added, providing an excellent option as GoCardless gains popularity among US organizations managing recurring payments. FinDock customers now have the choice of processing ACH Direct Debit payments through either Stripe or GoCardless, enhancing flexibility and convenience.

For customers operating in the DACH region, we have added support for Apple Pay and Google Pay via Saferpay by Worldline. This versatile payment method supports both one-time and recurring payments, offering a seamless alternative to traditional card payments. It enhances customer convenience by eliminating the need to manually enter card details, making transactions quicker and more secure.

2. Accelerate new FinDock implementations

As part of our continuous efforts to make FinDock easier to install and configure, we are introducing a completely redesigned and reengineered FinDock Setup.

Key improvements include a new overview of payment methods and processors, where you can also install new packages all in one place. Settings are conveniently grouped, making it easier to find and adjust what you need. Additionally, we have added in-app guidance to support the setup process. This guidance, including, for example, links to related settings and documentation, helps ensure you have all the information you need right when you need it.

If you’re curious about other improvements to the setup or want to see it in action, watch the FinDock Setup Demo (~7mins) featured in our last release webinar.

Why does it matter?

We believe that having a seamless and highly intuitive setup is crucial for our partners to implement FinDock quickly and effortlessly. This enables customers to go live faster while reducing project risks and complexity, resulting in happier customers and significant time savings for our partners.
