September’ 24 release Highlights

On September 29th, we rolled out the September FinDock release to all production orgs. This update brings a host of enhancements and new features to improve user experience. Below are a couple of key highlights. For more detailed and technical information, please refer to the release notes.

1. Enable donors to cover transaction fees

FinDock’s latest release brings an impactful feature for fundraisers, particularly for those challenged by high transaction fees: the ability for donors to cover these costs. This feature gives donors an option to contribute a little extra to ensure that fundraisers receive 100% of their intended donations, enabling every cent to directly benefit their programs and services.

Fundraisers can now seamlessly integrate this feature into their existing or new Giving Pages, giving them full control over the percentage of the donation—whether one-time or recurring—allocated for covering transaction fees. By adding context next to the opt-in option, organizations can explain the importance of their extra contribution and its role in boosting the impact of their donation.

2.Expand giving options with tribute donations

Another great feature in this release for nonprofits is the thoughtful feature of tribute donations. This feature allows donors to honor someone special or commemorate a significant event through meaningful contributions to a cause they value.

With the tribute donation feature, donors can enrich their contributions by including the recipient’s email address and a personalized message. FinDock stores these details in Salesforce, enabling nonprofits to further engage with recipients through custom actions and automated emails. This is a great opportunity for organizations to advocate for their initiative, deepen engagement with the cause, and potentially inspire further support.

3.Redesigned FinDock Knowledge Base

Alongside the new release, we’ve also launched a completely redesigned FinDock Knowledge Base—your go-to for product documentation. This revamped platform is designed for ease of access, has better navigation and search, improved visualizations, and a foundation for future development.

Additionally, we’ve extended these upgrades to the FinDock Academy, which now has a renewed user interface that streamlines the learner experience better. Plus, we have added a new course FinDock for Nonprofits, to help you with Nonprofit Cloud and NPSP implementations. Head over to the course catalogue to see what’s available and start learning.

4. More intuitive FinDock Setup experience [BETA] 

In addition, we have been refining the FinDock setup to make it a more intuitive experience. We’ve focused on reducing different types of friction, such as uncertainty, task complexity, and unclear system states, to streamline your implementation journey.
