In a significant move to enhance their fundraising capabilities and streamline operations, SOS Children’s Villages Norway, a prominent nonprofit organization, has selected FinDock, a Salesforce-native payment management platform. This collaboration confirms FinDock’s entry into the Norwegian market, demonstrating its commitment to providing top-tier solutions for Salesforce users and nonprofit organizations.

SOS Children’s Villages

SOS Children’s Villages is dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. Together with partners, donors, communities, children, young people and families, SOS enables children to grow up with the bonds they need to develop and become their strongest selves.

Why SOS Children’s Villages has chosen FinDock

SOS Children’s Villages Norway recognized the need to harness the power of Salesforce and FinDock to improve their fundraising efforts. Here’s why:

  • Eliminating Data Silos: SOS Children’s Villages Norway had been using a legacy fundraising system where payment processing occurred outside Salesforce, resulting in data silos. They are excited to bring everything together in Salesforce to complete their customer 360-degree view of their donors.
  • Centralizing different payment methods and channels: By using FinDock to process over one million payments per year, SOS Children’s Villages can centralize a wide range of payment methods and channels, including VIPPS, Credit Card, PayPal, Avtalegiro, bank transfers, eFaktura payments, amongst others. This allows their donors to use their preferred payment methods and channels.
  • Preference for a Product Solution: Rather than opting for a custom-built solution, SOS Children’s Villages Norway sought a product-based approach that would offer scalability , flexibility, and most importantly, ongoing support and development.
  • Future proof payment processing: By choosing FinDock, SOS Children’s Villages will be effortlessly keeping up with future changes to the Norwegian payments landscape, like the announced change from legacy banking formats to ISO20022 by the end 2024. While at the same time being able to keep up with new and existing trends, like the gaining popularity of Vipps for recurring donations instead of AvtaleGiro.

Next steps

SOS Children’s Villages Norway is committed to achieving its long-term objectives with Salesforce and FinDock. SOS Children’s Villages Norway are enthusiastic for the journey ahead:

“Selecting Salesforce and FinDock is an important part of our ongoing work to improve our fundraising. We believe the partnership will help us towards our goal of reaching out to more children and families, providing a better future at a time they are hit by a multitude of crisis,” said Fredrik D. Mjønes, Head of IT at SOS Children’s Villages Norway.

As SOS Children’s Villages Norway partners with FinDock to advance their fundraising capabilities, it serves as a testament to the quality and impact of FinDock’s solutions.

This development also signals to partners and customers in Norway that FinDock is now a trusted and innovative presence in the market, poised to support the growth and success of nonprofit organizations and Salesforce users.
